4760 R.4.1 is compatible with Vista?

Hi; I need to Know if omnivista 4760 R.4.1 is compatible with Vista or windows 2003 server in the second case the client server is configured like Domain server is possible install omnivista 4760 in this machine?

I cannot comment on Vista but I wouldnt have thought so as it wont be benchmark tested by Alcatel as yet and to be honest I dont think it will be.

The minimum recommended spec when using Windows 2003 server is as follows:

<250 users, 1 Node +Accounts, Config
1.4Ghz Processor; 18Gb HD; 512Mb RAM;

250 - 5000 Users
2Ghz Processor; 18Gb HD; 640Mb RAM

From 5000 - 20000 Users
Dual2.4Ghz Processor; 45Gb HD (15k RAID 5 +129KB Cache); 1.5Gb RAM

20000+ Users
Dual 3.0Ghz Processor; 72Gb HD (15k RAID 5 +129KB Cache); 2Gb RAM

in all cases the following applies:

Graphics Board: VRAM 4MB Supportinh 1024 x 768 Resolution 16M Colours
Partition: NTFS
Browsers: IE 6.0+; Netscape 7.0+; Mozilla Firefox R1.0
CD Drive - DVD Recomended

Other Recomendations are that....
The Omni-Vista 4760 server must be a dedicated server:
No other applications must be installed,
The domain controller, Web server or LDAP server and FTP server functions delivered with the operating system must not be installed.
Software that alters system .dll files must also not be installed.

Best advice is to use a dedicated server running 4760 application solely.

From my experience we have used a HP Proliant DL360 G3 for the last few years now, spec I believe was single xeon 2Ghz with 2Gb RAM running 72Gb at RAID5. OS - Windows 2003. This is for a 5000 user install.

Vista is available as Client from R4.2.09.

Mus te be as Server in R5.0.
