envolope led is glowing

Post by penny »

i created voicemail facility for 4020 digital extensions. they were not registered for more than one week.later they register their names. when they dial voicemail prefix it is saying no messages. but messge notification led(envlope button) is blinking for all 4020 extensions. when i press message indication(envolope) led, it was showing you have 5 messages in display. but when i dial voicemail prefix it was saying no messages. what may be the problem?

I believe it's either callback or no answered internal calls. You can check it using "zdpost" command. E.g. "zdpost d xxxx", where is xxxx is extension number. Look if you have something different then "0" for every type of mailstatus :

Mailstatus.Voice.Number = 0
Mailstatus.Voice.Age = 6
Mailstatus.Fax.Number = 0
Mailstatus.Fax.Age = 6
Mailstatus.Textnumber.Number = 0
Mailstatus.Textnumber.Age = 6
Mailstatus.Cabacknumber.Number = 0
Mailstatus.Cabacknumber.Age = 6
Mailstatus.CNA_interne.Number = 0
Mailstatus.CNA_interne.Age = 6

If you don't want your VM LED to light up on unanswered internal calls:

under User->ISDN User-> set "Internal" to False.

Hope it helps.
Thanks much,
