I am facing an issue where by I can't change the profiles for an existing MIC user. I have been trying to activate Telephony Services for Analog users and was advised that the set type in OXE has to be "Analog with 4980". I was able to activate the Telephony Services when creating a new user, unfortunately the UC server gave an error while trying to modify an existing user even though the set type was changed to "Analog with 4980" in OXE. I tried deleting the user altogether and even rebooted the UC server but to no avail. I believe there must be some sort of info in the UC server that was not deleted while removing the user but the UC server keeps on referring to when the user was recreated.
I am trying to avoid rebuilding the UC server, please can someone advise.
Cheers

Ok..you will need to make some traces on the tsa_maintenance. Check the Troubleshooting Guide to get info for this. Basically you need to monitor the CSTA and ACAPI messages when you try to create the user.
and what is the message that WebAdmin shows you?
Steps are:
1. Create OXE user
2. Restart TSAD (OTS) to reload all OXE objects of force a synchronization
3. Go to WebAdmin and create the user with the new OXE extension
Ignorance is not the problem, the problem is the one who doesn't want to learn
Thanks a lot. I will try this and will let you know how it goes.
Regarding the error message, its referring to OTS sync userConfig() error, i will have to be on site to capture this.
I will update.
