on the telnet session where i logged into voice mail. I telnetted in. I then typed login followed by my extension 1582 and password for my voice mailbox 2845. After that i called my extension and left a voice mail and waited and watched the telnet session to the server to see if anything happened and it simply timed out due to inactivitly. Was that what i was suppose to do? Let me know what next.

oh no, until now you have tested succesfuly:
1. IMAP server active on OXE
2. User connectivity and that your user is allowed to use IMAP server

So now, open an Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, etc, any IMAP client and create an account with same settings that you have used on telnet and try again. You will then receive the voice messages

But why a domain address? Can you post screenshots of your configuration on your mail client?

Hum that is the IP address you used on telnet right? If so, it is ok then. try changing the email address by your extension number?
