So you are trying to use the 4980 and cannot access and external DTMF application, what do you do now?

On the 4908 server look in you installation directory, usually located here:

"C:\Program Files\Alcatel\OmniPCXTSA\dyn\otuc@3595\cfg"


Look in the filename "parameters.txt".

In the file look for the first paragraph. Here you will find and entry you need to change.

The line to change is
"auto_dtmf_mode 0"

Make the entry
"auto_dtmf_mode 1"

You do not need to restart the 4980 server. However, you DO need to restart the client desktop.

As always this information should be used at your own risk! But have fun doing it. :-)

DTMF via 4980 over SIP Trunk doesnt´t work

We have an external conference bridge connected via SIP trunk to the OXE. When I dial the internal conference number(with 4980 Softphones), the DTMF signaling doesn´t work. When I dial the external number it works fine.
With the physical phones the internal and external numbers are working fine.

Where can be the hint?
