TAPI 32-64bit

Post by lgrassi »

I have the following issue,

I have to upgrade an host using the Windows TAPI client for one of its application to a 64 bit Windows OS.
The ALCATEL Tapi Premium Server application I have, is currently only working on 32bit systems and when using 64 bit clients with a 32 bit server no call notifications are retrieved by the 64 bit client.
Is there any solution to this configuration (compatible 32 bit client or 64 bit TAPI server able to communicate with Alcatel PABX)

Thanks in advance

Following OXE R10 Crosscompatibility March 2010 Ed07
TSAPI Premium Server R6.4.x supports Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server and Red-Hat ES 4.x only. (Pentium IV 2GHz, 1GB RAM with 200 MB free Disk space.)
On Client side Windows XP / Windows 2003 Server / Linux Redhat 4.x ES
From OXE R9.1 Version R6.4.6 is the minimum Version.
(OXE R6.1 up to OXE R9.0 Version R6.4.3)

Nothing written about 64 Bit and the dll is 32 bit only.

Hi Guys

battling to get a dialer to work with the Alcatel TAPI server.
on Microsoft you have the Dialer which, if it works you sort of know that part works, then we have an additional bit for a CTI agent. I cannot get the dialer to remain connected, then the TAPI server refuses connections.
does anyone know how to get the TAPI server to work consistently with a TAPI server (Alcatel)
I am running an OXE Enterprise.

thanks

Hi Sujay,
If you install the TAPI Premium Server as explained in the installation manual that should work.
Do not forget to be conform to Microsoft architecture: TAPI Premium Server is nothing else that a piece of software which is built on top of Microsoft rules and dependencies.

Hi Igrassi,
TAPIPremium Server R4.2.0 supports Windows 2012 Server (R2) x64

Hello,

We used TAPI Premium Server, last version available in Businessportal. But there was an issue with 80x8 Premium Desktop Phone. In Knowledge Center in Businessportal is a hotfix for TAPI Premium Server.
