More than one IP address ERROR while running checkSystemLinux.sh file of OT8440

Hi everybody,

I am trying to install OT 8440 VM in IBM3250 sever(having 2 LAN ports). RED HAT Linux 5 has been successfully installed & i provided all the ip @ to the server. After that i am running checkSystemLinux.sh file from the DVD-ROM, at the end i am receiving the following error.

Some problem found on this system:
More than one IP address

Current status of the system is NOT READY.


Pls help me to solve this.

Fix? YEs, you can only have 1 IP Address, both will have same IP via a BOND interface. So if eth0 goes down then eth1 will come up with same IP. Obvisouly both need to be connected to different switches.
This is for redundancy.

If you just don't care, fix and leave ETH0 plugged in.

Yes i am allowing it for BONDING.
But i cant understand the reason, Failure of MORE THAN ONE IP ADDRESS.
Because of this i cant complete the Software installation

please post output from ifconfig command and attach the file dmesg. txt (create it with dmesg > dmesg. txt).

Problem with the usb0 Ethernet interface in the server(DHCP enabled),
but ip address is showing in the command ifconfig | grep inet
so disabled the usb0 Ethernet interface & run the .sh file.
Now i am not getting the MORE THAN ONE IP ADDRESS Error & application also installed.
