Change host name and domain

Post by zychu »

Hi all,

I need to change the host name and domain OTFS R7.0.1.
I changed the network settings (DNS tab and hosts) in Red Hat 5 but on the statuses of services hostname is old.
Is it possible to change this using the CLI in OTFS without reinstalling the Fax Server?

Thank you for all the help.

Hi jasic,

Thank you for your help.
I changed the domain name, in the "SinkOrb" displayed correctly, but on the System monitor/Services status have the old name :( .
Is that may be, or may later be a problem with the correct operation of the server?
Currently the system is not connected to the customer network so I can not check it.

Hi Siddeeque,
in this topic the rehost is for the fax server. Change the domain and name of a 8770 is a complete diffrent thing.
For you the 8770 migration tool is the right way.
