Automatic voicemail backup

Post by frank »

Hi !

I noticed that a lot of people complained about the non-presence of an automatic backup for 46x5 type voicemail.
Well.. HERE YOU GO !

Feel free to comment. If you find any bug, share it here so I can fix. If you think I should add more features, let me know !

Another version is to come with more debug options.

Frank.

Hi Frank,
Hope you don't mind but I added a little to this tool. What I have added is a Batch file that you can modify using notepad to suit your needs. This can be used with Windows scheduler to automatically ftp the backup file created by your tool from the 4400 to a location of your choice.

The file will only store the backup file in the same directory as the one from where it is run. Given this the batch file should be located and run from the server/pc where the backup file is to be stored.
VMftp.rar
Right click on the file VMftp.bat and click edit
Confirm the path for the ftp.exe is correct
Edit IP address to that of the OXE
Edit mtcl password if required (will be sent in clear text!!)
Edit get command if eva-msg file is required
Save file
Go to Windows Scheduler and add task.
Browse to location of VMftp.bat
Set up times and finish.
