GPA2 batterie type?

Post by sven »

Hi,
I need to replace the batteries of some GPA2 boards. But I didn't know the type of the batteries and I found nothing about it.
My current batteries are simple green with the following description on it: "NT65AAAH". If you google it you'll find nothing :?
I have measured the batteries and have received 1.43 volts. Hmm, rechargeable usually have 1.2 volts, so are they rechargeable or not and when recharable what type of rechargeable, nicd, nimh, etc.?

I hope somebody can help me :)
Thanks!

Regards
Sven

If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Hi,
thank You for your answer.
I have found this thread too but the last answer in this thread (and this answer is from You) is not helpfull.
Strange. I think original battery is under Alcatel's cover (as battery is not working you can try to remove this cover) but, anyway, just look for any 3,3V rechargeable battery.
I think the type of a battery (nicd, nimh, etc.) does matter and 3,3V seems not correct.
I allways looked into the alcatel system docu for GPA2 but no words about the batteries.

Does nobody have replaced his batteries yet???

Any decent rechargeable 1.5v battery should work.

I'n not sure that ALU has changed HW design of GPA2 to adopt 1.5V battery but that's like it was 15 years ago.

At thoes times OEM batteries were wrapped in Alcatel's wrapper with logo and part number.
I unwrapped it and it 100% was 3.3V rechargeable battery.
Do not have GPA2 at hand so can't check now.

Happened to have one on my desk and it has two GP600 series 1.2V rechargeable batteries these are NiMH units that are AAA size

Part number on them is NiMH AAA HR03

So basically as Cav said any decent 1.2V (not 1.5V as rechargeable are always 1.2V) NiMH AAA rechargeable battery would do.
