Database upgrade from PM5-Versions

Post by energydat »

Hello,

is there a way to upgrade a database from Rel. 2.x, saved with PM5 Software
to the lates OMC Software?

I have tried the DBAdapter Software but this only work with PCMM Databases.

Would be nice to get a feedback...

Copy the files from PM5 folder to the OMC last version folder and delete the file "database.omc" (or something like that).

I'm not sure if it will work, but....

Maybe work if you try from last PM5 to first OMC.

I think it is not possible, to far away PM5 to Latest OMC.

I suggest you to do a clean installation and use the export - import feature.

There are a good quantify of information you can get with it. Speed dial numbers, users, trunk access, trunk groups, etc.

I don't remember exactly but I think you can not export-import the phone sets keys programming

The Keys can be exported and imported, but it has to be done for every single extension.
You have to save key profiles in the users list. It's better, to play with it first, to understand, how it works. This could be done on a offline database.

Other solution would be, use a new OMC to save the database. This would save much work.... [emoji6]
