Dyn Routing for 2 external destinations

Post by pedro_alcatel_br »

Hi everybody,

I know that OXO have some issue when it try to routing some call (from a hunting group) to 2 different External Destinations.

Someone knows one way to do that?
I need sent one DID to 2 different external destinations..
I've tried by HuntGrp, DynRout Extension, ARS Provid/Destin... but no works for both destinations, just one.

Tks in advance

?
How would you discriminate then what to do with the call?
Makes quite no sense...you transfer a call to one location only, otherwise you are doing a conference

Hi,

Not exactly.
The client has a opererator in 1 unit and another in another unit. Would have to ring on both phones.

Tks

Yes, that is your business need.
But in telephony world that is not a transfer, is a conference, where more than 2 parties are involved.
Just think on next step, phone 1 answers, then what happens with call on phone #2? Somehow the pbx must decide what to do with the other leg...what if both answer?

A conference is a call between multiple parties. Here it's just about the call distribution.
There is a way, which works only on OXO, not in OXO connect evolution and may not work in later releases anymore...

You need a extension of type "any" (...set or something).
This will create a nomadic extension too.

You have to connect with pimphony to this "any device" (i think that's the name). Create a button with nomadic mode and enter the external number. Then activate the button.
Any call to this number will go to your external destination.

Maybe you will need a nomadic license for this.

It won't work later anymore, because pimphony will be removed in the future and there is no more a possibility to configure this in OXO connect evolution right now.

I had need for something like that on my evolution and I solved it with sip users and an asterisk behind. I didn't found a better way.

Regards Mario

? In nomadic mode you won't ring both external numbers at same time. Only 1.

What he is asking is to be able to route one call to 2 different external numbers, then both should ring at same time and the one who answers win the call, obviously making the other to stop ringing, something like an external hunting group...

For that to happen you would need to engage 3 legs, one for calling and 2 for called devices...thus, the principle of a conference, maybe not a completed one but the principle is that. Later somehow OXO should determine that should keep alive only conference with the end point who answered, releasing the other leg and then, only then, do a transfer.

What you mention is just a nomadic local device forwarded to one remote number, same as in OXE with MyNumber or whatever is called now.

Unless I haven't understood OP original post then you got me there

You need 2 analog extensions. It works with Office and Connect R3.

analog ext.798 with Pimphony normadic routing to +49 171XXX (mobile number)
analog ext 799 with Pimphony normadic routing to +49 172XXX (mobile number)

Ext 150 (IP, UA...) has Twinset 798 and 799

Thats all ;-) All 3 Phones ringing parallel

...but i this case you have always one missed call on mobile set.

You could also use plain virtual nomadics, you use the voicemail pilot number to access the settings of the virtual extensions mailboxes, you then configure the nomadic mode destination and add all parties to a hunt group.

This saves you the extra licensing for pimphony but does require more knowledge of navigating the voicemail menus.
