Problem with the lateral tonne in A4200E

Post by jimgkatzias » 22 Apr 2015 02:21

I would like your help with a A4200E.
Is in operation and hold: 1 x DLC, 5 x SLC8, 1 x SLC4, 1 x SOTO 8, 1 x SOTO 4.
Past 6 months after a major blackout appeared in place of side tone a strange sound is like rain, after 2 days however came back, has now been 10 days that continues this sound, replaced power supply. Supplying the problem remains to note that all other functions have no problem except when you lift the handset you hear me up in response to hear that the rattling noise.
Has anyone on the problem, how deal with it?

Thanks

I doubt anyone has currently that problem as that platform is very very old and no longer in support. Maybe a capacitor has a leak or a short cut somewhere..

It might be a blind shot, but try to replace the handset.
I have seen before that a defect handset can produce strange sounds.

Understand the problems created by a device, we noticed that some old tech devices not ringing, while the PBX routes the call, the device does not ring and if you lift the handset reply normally.
