OXE and OXO Network

Post by Ravs »

Guys, we have customers with OXEs with PCS setup and managed by the OV8770. Is it possible for us to connect OXO in the same network using SIP Trunks or ABC-F and at the same time manage from the same OV8770 with additional licenses if need be.

Also does OXO support ABC-F with OXE or it has to be H323 but still managed by OV8770

ABC-F is not supported by OXO.
You can use QSIG-GF (via E1 PRA access), SIP or H.323 between OXE and OXO.
OXO is managed by OMC application (when using 8770, OV actually lounches the OMC application when configuration is requested for an OXO).

Networking (trunking) between OXE and OXO does not require 8770 management of the OXO. This is optional. Like mentioned for configuration the 8770 lounches in fact the OMC application. For accounting you need 8770.

ABC-F LINKS are only for OXE/4400 world, but i don't think it's impossible to interconnect oxo -oxe with TDM links but YOU WILL not got same level of featurse as abc-f , ofcorse sip and iph323 is also possible.
i haven't try 8770 but iguess same as 4760 you have choice to create oxo under system /network

Thanks a lot guys.

Would there be some document that list the features available for the following configuration.

1. OXE and OXO link using the E1
2. OXE and OXO using SIP
3. OXE and OXO using H323

Also I have never worked on OXO.
