Speed dial Number starts with DDD

Post by angelpalacin1981 »

Hello all,

I am about to do some changes in an OXE digital trunks E1's, but after doing some checks I have found kind of strange configuration in direct speed dial.

PSTN sends header and sufix number
OXE parts it and works with suffix only (you configure this)
As there the DID translator table will use common numberin plan
This scenario as abbreviated, but could be extensions directly

Benefit of this scenario is that abbreviated don't use standard numbering plan and saves it for other uses. I still would prefer to work with DID tables.
Ignorance is not the problem, the problem is the one who doesn't want to learn

Hi, I use to do this (and others did as well) when you needed to split DDI blocks to non consecutive numbers. it was needed as there was a small number of ranges per DDI translator (32 I think).
So you may be seeing the old required config and you can move the translations back to the DDI translator if you now have later version OXE.
Best Regards
