3rd part dect

Post by selectt »

We have came up against a number of hosted solutions when quoting for our oxo cloud offering. One of the issues we constantly see is DECT pricing.

Currently Alcatel-Lucents offer is IP DECT. This requires licenses, DECT ip base station and handset.

Our opposition are offering http://www.yealink.co.uk/W52P-Dect

This is a set which plugs into the POE network and has an on site base station connected (up to 5) at the fraction of the price. Has anyone tried to use one of these third party devices on the alcatel-lucent RCS , any feedback would be helpful ?

Hi We have used a number of these handsets as stand alone on a Broadsoft platform as so far so good, we are now looking at supplying them as a 3rd part device with OXO and in theory it should work, will advise how we get on

hi, there are many of these type of DECT "cordless" solutions i normally use Simens Gigasets but don't confuse with a real DECT setup.
in a DECT configuration you can have base stations with hand over etc.
The type you are looking at is really just an expansion on a home cordless phone using SIP instead of analogue input.
