Error with OV2500&2700

Post by junquel »

Hi There...
Working with OmniVista 2500&2700 v3.4, this message appears when I try to login:

Login Failed on Server X.X.X.X port 1127. Exception creating connection to: X.X.X.X.
Socket operation on nonsocket: connect.

Whats that mean?

Thanks in advanced...

May be PR# 168302 in Release Notes?

Thanks...
That´s the error with OV, but in the RN says "After a Few Minutes of Inactivity When Logging In", but in my case I cannot login.
When I try to log in Omnivista, the error appears (no previous login).

It´s not an upgrade...
My OS is Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition... HDD = 146 GB / RAM = 4 GB / CPU = 3.6 GHz / 32 bits OS.
According with RN, the system requirements are OK.

I´ve uninstalled and installed again OV, but the error still appears.

Hi Piter,

Here is a small how to install video. Try to disable FW as troubleshooting.

I tried to install OV 3.4 32 bit on Windows 2008 64bit on VBox with no such issue, see attached (simply unzip and open in browser).

Hi There...

I installed OV 3.4.1 according the swf file on Windows 2008 Server on a common PC (without working in a production environment) and everything OK until I restored a backup file of my original server.
I can see that the omnivista services on Windows (services.msc) are offline.

Can be a problem with the backup file???

Hi, junquel, could you solve the problem? I have the same problem and I haven't been able to solve it. I see another user posted some files and you thanked him for it, but I don't get them because I do not have enough permissions. Thanks,

Hi jdvillalobos....
Sorry for delay. I didnt seeing your post.
So, unfortunately, I didnt. O i dont know yet.

First, my OV server had the following: 4 GB RAM and 3 GHz processor, 160 GB HDD and Windows Server 2008 SP1 installed.
I had to install on the hardware Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. So far, i dont have any troubles.
Deactivated Windows Firewall, and turn off automatic updates (windows and java).

Take a look the OmniVista Release Notes. Depending on your version, you must have a X operating system (Windows and AOS switches).
In my case, the version OV 6.3.1 supports up AOS 6.3.1 and no Windows Server 2008. According the RN.
In all my switches I have 6.3.4 R01... Maybe thats the problem??? I dont know. I am still working on it.

I hope be useful.
Please, if you have a solution, post it!!!..
