How to generate NI removal trap
How to generate NI removal trap
Hello everybody, Does somebody know how to identify if the NI removal trap is already generated in Omnivista, and If it's not, how can I generate it?
Re: How to generate NI removal trap
If you know the trap id you can use > debug trap generate xx
For finding the trap id use >show snmp trap config

Re: How to generate NI removal trap
Hello Silvio,
Thanks for your answer. I was looking in the switch the output of the command 'show snmp trap config' and I don't have the 'rlStackUnitRemoved' trap configure on my switch, do you know how to make it available or configure it so it can appear in the output of the 'snmp trap config'?
Thanks

Re: How to generate NI removal trap
All available traps are visible with this commands and enabled per default. So you can try with image update. maybe the trap is available than. Otherwise you have to open a SR at Alcatel.

Re: How to generate NI removal trap
Hello Silvio,
Thank you for your help, but I watched the show snmp trap config output and the 'rlStackUnitRemoved' trap isn't there, so I don't know how to add it to my traps. Do you know how to do it?

Re: How to generate NI removal trap
you can't add it by command (in my knowledge). Did you use actuall image? maybe an update solves the problem. Otherwise you have to open a ticket (SR) at alcatel.
