step2)login the switch using telnet, Current Aos is 6.3.1 , uboot is 6.1.3.so first im going to upgrade aos from 6.3.1 to 6.3.4
step3)ftp cd/flash/working
Step4)create the local directory
Not needed. There is already working directory, where you need to place *.img files. Try dir or ls to see image files from current release
step5)mput *.img
step 6)in telnet using reload working no roll back-timeout.
step7)once reload the switch check the network it was woking fine working mode if its working fine means i will go for copy working certified flash-synchro.
Step8)again ftp cd/flash
step 9)mput *.bin
step 10)mput kminiboot.uboot
step 11) in console put the command update uboot-miniboot
step 12)once update completed
step 13) ftp cd/flash
step 14) ls
step 15)rm /flash/ku-boot.bin
step 16)rm /flash/kminiboot.uboot
step 17)in console reload working no rollback-timeout.

please help me this what im going to do if i did any mistake on this please rectify it will be really helpful .kindly do the needfull

Hi one6f,

Which step is not needed please tell me the step no and let me know remaining steps are correct are not...?

After completing step 17 i have to use copy working certified flash-synchro right... or no need use this ...?

If i upgraded successfully is there any chance to lose our configuration...?

Step 4.
After completing step 17 i have to use copy working certified flash-synchro right... or no need use this ...?
You have done this in step 7, but it does no harm to copy again. For uboot/miniboot check "show ni" as shown on site 17-18 of 6850_rel6_3_4_r01_upgrade.pdf.
You can do this when you are finished and after you are sure everything is right.

No. If you do not remove boot.cfg your configuration remain unaffected.
Your config is present twice: first in /flash/working/boot.cfg and second in /flash/certified/boot.cfg.
But after "copy working certified" boot.cfg from working go to certified(then is the same file). The same applies to the other modules in stack(after copy flash-synchro).
You can backup or save boot.cfg on or from master(ex. cp /flash/working/boot.cfg /flash/boot.cfg.backup)

Hi one6f,

Thanks a lot for your help and support. I have successfully done that activity except only one number of 6850 switch. after uploaded the uboot files in flash. I tired with update uboot-miniboot command once update completed message appears in console then i deleted the files in flash after reboot switch was not booted up. only pwr led was on. remaining leds are turned off .Is there any chance to rectify this switch.

Hi ram,
please create a new topic for this(may be by OmniAccess). It's simple another subject as "OS 9700 AND OS 6850 AOS , MINIBOOT UBOOT UPGRADATION".
