Config Conversion tool

Post by ETeRaS » 26 Nov 2019 09:23

Hello all,

I would like to ask if anyone has created some sort of conversion tool for 7750 config file to be simplified for viewing purposes?
Ideally a tool that takes the cfg and creates a more friendly view.

Tim

A Gui experience, or something like a excel sheet with macro that would read the config and display it.
Reason for asking is lets say you are using a 7750 as a S/PGW, your access point is bound to particular OCS and/or Radius, Charging Group, charging characteristic and so many other.
It would be convenient to have a tool to display that for APN "X" the following additional config options are bound to that.

You can use the context keyword after you have piped the output - this can show you specific info from the config file as per above:

admin display-config | match "text string" context all
info | match "text string" context all

This is then akin to the old IOS "section" command following a pipe and will show you the relevant sections of config that contain your text string.
I agree as per rekeds above, there is anything out there that presents the config is a more simple fashion that the SR-OS.

Maybe you can do what you need via SNMP?
