AS-Override in MPLS L3VPN can't ping

Post by plawansai »

My Topology:
PE1 vrf A - PE2 with as-override - PE1 vrf B - PE3 vrf B - CE destination

I see the route can install in the routing table but I can't ping, how should I do?

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Assume you are trying to ping a destination learnt via the BGP peering. Are you pinging from a source address that is known about at the destination?

If so, can you share some output here please, ie show router xxx route-table, show router xxx interface, ping router xxx source yyyy

Hi,

PE3# ping router 31010351 10.12.75.254

Hi,

But at the far end, ie at the device with 10.12.75.254, does it have a valid route back to 10.202.124.85?

Can you try a traceroute and see how far it gets also.

Cheers
