GPA - Flash card

Hi dudes n dudettes.

Is there a way to format/set up a standard flash memory to be used in a GPA for dynamic voice guide storage?
(The voice guides recorded from std phones)
I have a CompactFlash (FAT32) card and a PCMCIA adapter I'm fiddling with, but can't seem to get it to work.
