This is not right. it relys on the release, from what i know with vital suite you have to do ti in the right way!

If you use that sacred process to the document "8770 Installation manual" which is properly supplied with 8770 SW you'll find the chapter named "5.7 Modifying the Server FQDN or IP Address".
Unfortanally i dont have access to the documentation or software or licenses, i only have access to AlcatelUlseash :) that helps me alot

You do not have Tools\Documentation\Installation manual\ folder in your 8770 distro? That's bad. Ask your supplier for 8770 Docs CD. I would upload it but it is not possible to load files bigger than 2 MB and the file is 2,4 MB.
