Log CallerID (CSTA library)

Post by guettli »

I am a software developer, but telephone stuff is new to me.

We have a Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise 10.11 and need to log the calls (Caller-ID and duration) of the calls.

We can see that the TCP Port 2555 is alive.

Which library do you recommend? Open source would be good, but a commercial could be used, too.

Is there a (free) tool to talk to the CSTA port? We listen to the network traffic to see how the communication
protocol works...

I don't know which level of CSTA is supported. Is there a way to check this?

Up to now we have no documentation. Were could we find some? There EMCA standard is available,
but since we don't know which CSTA version is supported, it does not help us.

Any hints are welcome.

CSTA for CDR logging?
It's just like using Titan only for playing Tetris.
Download System docs and check for Internal accounting - Configuration procedure - Output on Ethernet.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
