Just one comment: The two mentioned services "Sun Directory Server .." were renamed into "Oracle Directory Server ...".
It is probably better to boot the entire server in step 6 and not only the 2 services.
After changing the directory manager password again in order to encrypt it, you can run ToolSOmniVista again in order to reset you adminnmc password or any other administrator password.

(The 'Sun Directory Server Enterprise Edition 7.0' should start automatically, if not start it)
7) Use the ToolsOmnivista.exe to change the password of the 'Directory Manager'; otherwise the password isn't encrypted in the 'dse.ldif' file.
