Post by Maxwell_Hu »

Hi there

the core switch 6900 has the log like this and the ip phone sometimes can't get ip address from dhcp server. If I restart the ip phone and waiting a long time, sometimes it can get ip address, but sometimes not.

Which release are you running?
There were a couple of dhcp-relay bugs fixed in the last 7.3.3.598 if i recall it correct.

You can always open a TAC case.

If you have a VC you can try an issu (in my experience: still plan for a maintanance window).
Otherwise: plan a maintenance Window.
Even if it is a core Switch: also this devices need a software upgrade from time to time.

Thanks a lot! I means I can't believer that the core switch has dhcp-realy bugs !

I'll ask for update the software and thanks again !
