6900 corrupt flash ?

Post by sailsoft »

Has anyone found a flash recovery procedure for the 6900 already ?

I am trying to upgrade some new 6900's, and 2 of them show scary errors during the filecopy of the new Tos.img from USB to flash.

Errors like :

[ 918.114889] ata1.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x6 frozen
[ 918.199358] ata1.00: cmd 30/00:08:a6:87:03/00:00:00:00:00/e0 tag 0 pio 4096 out
[ 918.199358] res 40/00:00:00:00:00/00:00:00:00:00/00 Emask 0x4 (timeout)
[ 918.897592] Result: hostbyte=0x00 driverbyte=0x08
[ 918.953932] Sense Key : 0xb [current] [descriptor]
[ 919.011415] ASC=0x0 ASCQ=0x0
[ 919.045861] cdb[0]=0x2a: 2a 00 00 03 87 a6 00 00 08 00
[ 919.107707] end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 231334

Anyone seen this before and know how to resolve them ?

Never had that.
Does it occur with USB only or as well when you use ftp/scp? I had variuos problems with USB drives (being some giveaways, not "specified ALU ones") so check that.

There is a Trescue.img that you can get from support, but if the problems persist: open a Ticket.
