unsupported SFP on OS6900-X40

Hi guys,
I am facing this issue whereby i am plugging in my Fiberxon (FTM-3413c_SL05G, 1310nm MMF 100/1000m SFP) into the switch port of my OS6900-X40.
I will be thrown an exception error as below.

+++ niEsmReadTxvrInfo: Unsupported Gig SFP plugged in SFP+ cage, in zport=12

+++ niEsmReadTxvrInfo: Unsupported Gig SFP plugged in SFP+ cage, in zport=13

+++ niEsmReadTxvrInfo: Unsupported Gig SFP plugged in SFP+ cage, in zport=14

Please advise as these tranceiver is working fine on my OS9600. My current firmware version is 7.3.3.384.R01.

Hi,
you use a Dual-Speed Ethernet Transceivers - Alcatels own product for it is "SFP-DUAL-MM". In the OmniSwitch 6900 Series Compatibility matrix (you can find in os7_xcvr_rev_L.pdf) this SFP isn't there. So there is no support for it also in 7.3.4.R02
Do I understand correctly: the modul is working fine but there is the error messages? Than you can be happy and have to deal with it.

Its working fine in a 9600 (not 6900).

The transceiver is not supported and afaik 100 Mbit is not supported on the 10G Ports of the 6900 at all.
The dual Speed transceivers for 6900 are Gig and TenGig not 100Mbit/Gig

-> Probably you should use supported transceivers.

For 100Mbit use a 6860-U or 6450-U

thanks for clarification of my mistake.... so all is clear. the module doesn't work because not supported.

I have to correct myself: There do not seem to be any dual Mode transceivers in the current xcvr guide for 6900. (but i am sure i have read about that in some release notes..)

But 100Mbit is not supported by the PHYs in the 6900
