Core switch not accepting password with special characters

Hi,

I have 6900 core switch I need to change the password for admin login I tried changing to switch1234 it was working instead I give $witch@HOC6900 it was not taking and when I try to login it showing invalid login or password .

I have 8.4.1 microcode

Maybe only one part of the not working password is now active. Sometimes you need the password in "...." but sometimes in '....'
I know there are problems with ! within password.

If you have no other user with admin-rights you have the reset the password to default.
Break the boot sequence after power up and than:
⇒ setAdminPasswordDefault
⇒ boot
