Schedule TFTP Backup by Command Line

Post by kksan »

Hi All,
sorry for my scolastic English, I have a question:
I need to schedule Automatic TFTP Backup on a bunch of switches but I dont know how to.
They are: OmniSwitch 6450, OmniSwitch 6860 and OmniSwitch 6900.
Does exist a way to perform this operation? And how can I do it?
Thank you in adance for your advices.

You need an external tool that is doing this (performing scriptes at the switches or pick up the files via ftp/sftp). OmniVista 2500 is the best way for it. For 10 Switches it is for free.....

Hi Silvio,
thank you for your answer.
I just came to know that the Customer has 24 switches and they already have omnivista 2500 NMS.
Do you have a guide or something like?
Furthermore, I need to receve an email for every switch that ends that backup with the result. Is this feasible?
Don't know if the section is still the right one.
Thank you again for your help.

You will find Backup in the Resource-Section of OV. An online help is integrated.
