error while configuring DHCP server

Hi,

i tried to configure DHCP server on my 6450-P48l switch, i followed the user guide however i found error when typing "-> cp dhcpd.conf.template dhcpd.conf" error message was "ERROR: Can't open input file "/flash/switch/dhcpd.conf.template" errno = 0xd40005
cp returned error."

by showing the directory of /flash/switch/ i found the following output:

that means there is no presence of dhcpd.conf.template, and dhcpd.pcy.template files to save and edit as dhcpd.conf, and dhcpd.pcy respectively.

now i need help to configure the DHCP server from scratch including creating aforementioned template files.

So you have to create you own dhcpd.conf and .pcy. You will find a lot of posts here (also in othere sub-forums).
best way is to copy the file from you computer to switch via ftp or USB.
