OTC Android Smartphone Issue

Post by Felix1234 »

Hi Everyone,

Wondering if someone could help me. I currently have a OT Solution on R2.2 and I am trying to get my OTC Android working. The Reverse Proxy on NGIX+ is configured and also the SBC is correctly configured and when logging on I can see the android device successfully connecting to the SBC. I can dial other internal extensions and can dial the android device ok as well. The only problem I am having is that the display on the android device is not updating so if this is an incoming call the phone rings but you are unable to answer the call as the screen does not change to indicate an incoming call. This is the same on an outgoing call.
The speech is fine on the calls the issue is just with the display on the Android phone not changing on incoming and outgoing calls.

Thanks everyone.

Have this setup worked corretly? Because OT r2.2 is an year old.

My ideas are

Premissons on the android Phone. Have you tried with different types of phones.

Have you tried without VoIP (gsm call)

Have you tried it in WiFi

Are you sure that there are no traffic blocked

Best regards

Is your Android app supported by that OT version?

Hi Doublezero/Cavagnaro,

Thanks for coming back to me. I have tried connecting with and without Wifi and also without VoIP. The back up GSM works fine but this comes in as an external incoming call.

I have tried with both Android and Apple with the same results.

With regards to the traffic being blocked this definitely is a possibility but will have to look further into this.

The version of Android and Apple OS is on the latest level as well as the Alcatel Conversation App.

Will keep digging and come back to you!

Thanks.

Hi Flix1234
I faced this issue and I change this sitting
Go to Opentouch configuration then click on the features
in the tree click on Device Parameter then SIP phone profile you will create 2 profile under OTC Smartphone profile and OTC Smartphone WIFI profile
After you create this 2 go to the one you create in OTC Smartphone profile and click on manageable option and change some value
Please see the picture I upload

Go to the other one you create in OTC Smartphone WIFI profile and click on manageable option and change some value
Please see the picture I upload

In the end, go to the user device and change his profile to the new one you create.

Hi Alhmami,

Many thanks in coming back to me, I have managed to get the Iphone app screen refreshing on the default profiles but the Android device I am still having issues with.

I have tried creating the two profiles you have kindly showed me but unfortunately it looks to be the same!

thanks for your help with this so far.
