Dear All

Kindly help me to reset otAdmin password since it is locked and i cannot access.
My Admin Web page is not working using otProfile also.

from Omnivista 8770 if i configure the OT node it gives an error Connecting to OT...
[15:38:28] > [ OT ] : Administration account is invalid

Was the factory post installation done by you ? What is the release ?

Did you try "admin8770" as the password ?

Following is only my suggestion , as we do this in OXE , if we forget the login account passwords.

If the above does not work , connect directly to the OTBE server and login through root.
At the command prompt, type passwd otAdmin
It will prompt you for the new password, enter the new password , then it will ask for confirmation . Once you have re-entered the password

your new password will be activated.

Can you login as root?

if so - do the below to see the relevant passwords.

Be careful now.........

[root@opentouch ~]# psql -d CMS -U cms_user -p 5433

CMS=# select login,guipassword from cmsadministrator;



** All accounts and passwords will be displayed. As of OT2.0.000.092 – there should be 7 entries.

You can also use otProfile login/pwd to access via web and reset/unlock the otAdmin password...

I have OTBE server running 2.1.

recently we done some addon in the license file and got the new license to upload in OT server.

But, the problem is i am unable to do SFTP to OT server. it gives me below error on filezilla

Status: Connecting to 172.16.21.55...
Response: fzSftp started, protocol_version=5
Command: open "root@172.16.21.55" 22
Command: Pass: **********
Error: Server unexpectedly closed network connection
Error: Could not connect to server

And even i am unable to login SSH with root account also and gives me FATAL ERROR "SERVER UNEXPECTEDLY CLOSED NETWORK CONNECTION".


the good thing is only i can able to login to server by connecting keyboard and monitor with it. and able to login as root.

i changed root password, otAdmin password, otAdmin password. but nothing works...!!!

could anyone know how to solve this and unlock procedure for the SSH/SFTP for OT server?

please help me if can...

Hello Mathan,

using root in Filezilla or in SSH Terminal like Putty is not possible.
You do have a maintenance user for this kind of operation.

i checked in document for license updation in OTBE server. they said the new license files to be uploaded in the server via SFTP using root account.

but, the root account denies when i try by filezilla sftp.. am totally confused that how can i do update the new license..!!!

please help me how to update new license files of OT.

Copy it using otUser into tmp or any location which works and copy it into the right directory and change the rights of the file afterwards with root permission.
