SHA-1 migration to SHA-2 prior to OTBE R2.2

On January 1, 2017 SHA-1 certificates will be blocked by Major web browsers.

Anyone know of the procedure to replace these certificates with ones that will function after January 1, 2017 on an OT R2.1 as customer is yet to upgrade to R2.2?
