please have a look into document 8AL90535USAC Ed.02 in Business Portal.
Edge Server is actually not needed anymore if you have OTMS Rel 2.2.1 or later.
"If you choose to buy your OTES server from a vendor other than ALE International, you must select
one of the following enterprise-class or small business servers. These hardware servers have been
tested for use with OTES. Refer to the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Business Partner web site for exact
server specifications.
OTES deployment on virtual machine requires a VMware virtualization infrastructure. VMware
prerequisites for hardware server and compatibility resources must be directly checked on VMware
web site (http://www.vmware.com/).
Minimum specifications
The hardware server you choose must support SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) release 12, and
it must have a 64-bit operating system. The server must adhere to the following minimum
specifications as appropriate to the number of users and ports purchased.
Important! Dell servers that use the PERC 6/i controller card require a firmware update during
the OTES installation process.
Small and medium business:
Use a small to medium business server for OTES deployments that require up to 120 concurrent data
conferencing ports and 3,000 IM users.
Processor Single processor, dual core, 2.8 GHz or faster
Memory 4 GB
Hard drive (2) 150 GB or greater
RAID controller RAID 1
Media drive DVD-ROM
Network Interface 1 Gigabit Ethernet NIC
Enterprise and service provider:
