6860 OS upgrade

Hi, All

I'm new to Alcatel technologies and not familiar to upgrade the OS.
I have been reading some manual on alcatel but it doesn't give me a straight forward steps how to upgrade the switch.
Anyone have a reference would be helpful if you can share. Or any existing topic on this site related to my query.

Also I notice a USB port on the switch, I was wondering if I can use the USB port without any special requirements.
Also what are the special requirements to upgrade the switch. Do I need to delete first the existing OS before I copy the new one?
After copying the new image, is there any command to load the new image?

Sorry for the noob questions. If I only have enough time I would do some digging.

information about update you will find in switch management guide (os8_sw_revB.pdf) and in release notes (821r01_release_notes_revA.pdf).
It is very similar to all other omniswitches (also info about USB). So you can search in the forum also at 6450 or 6850E...

quick steps: copy new img-file into working directory and reload from working...

In Business Portal from Alcatel. Ask your suplier...
