XFP/SFP ports

Post by mouthpiec »

Hi,
Just to double check with you guys ... is it possible to use ports 21-24 for copper, and 25-28 with SFP-fibre at the concurrently?
I am asking because 6850 ports 21-24 are shared between copper and SFP.

Also, what is the use of the ports 29-30 VFL?

At 6860 there isn't any compo port (= shared). So f.e. you can at 6860-24 use the ports 1-24 for RJ45, 25-28 for SFP or SFP+ Modules.
The both QSFP (but with 20G) are only for VFL (virtual fabric link). This is similar to stacking at 6850.
