system not available on DECT 400

Post by unarcher »

Hi
I bought a few DECT 400 to replace old Siems Gap phone

My users often encounter an error message "system not available" and are unable to receive or make calls
They just remove battery, and place it again, and everything is ok again until next time.
Sometimes it do the same thing again after a few hours

We did not find any errors message with incvisu concerning DECT base Stations

I guess it's a clock issue. What's your sync source type? And what provider do you have?

Just to add some information
I discovered that phones encounter this probleme when user walk from a zone covered by an IBS connected to a media gateway to another zone where the IBS is connected to another media gateway
Such a shame, no way to prevent this, user must reboot phone :(

It's normal. It's not allowed to have coverage overlapping between two media gateways.

In fact just in case it can help someone else :
You can add a numeris line and a BRA card to get time synchronisation trough T0

With this, the Gateways would be synced and phone would just do the "hop" from one media Gateway to another. It cut communication during a few seconds and it come back.
No need to reboot phone anymore
