LACP - linkagg Testing

Post by jpattard »

I configured LACP on a Stack of two OS 6350-24. If i disconnect 1 of the ports the link is still working, but if i remove both ports and put them back after a few seconds it does not get back up. Below is the config on these switches.

-> show linkagg

Number Aggregate SNMP Id Size Admin State Oper State Att/Sel Ports
-------+----------+---------+----+------------+--------------+-------------
1 Static 40000001 2 ENABLED UP 2 2

Slot/Port Aggregate SNMP Id Status Agg Oper Link Prim
---------+---------+-------+----------+----+----+----+----
1/2 Static 1002 ATTACHED 1 UP UP NO
2/2 Static 2002 ATTACHED 1 UP UP YES

-> show 802.1q 1

Tagged VLANS Internal Description
-------------+------------------------------------------+
2 TAG AGGREGATE 1 VLAN 2
100 TAG AGGREGATE 1 VLAN 100

You haven't configured LACP. Your LAG is static. I recommend to reconfigure both switches with LACP and try again.

In the mean time have reconfigured the switch with dynamic LACP but it still takes time to failover to the other switch. See config below:
! Port Mapping :
! Link Aggregate :
lacp linkagg 1 size 2 admin state enable
lacp linkagg 1 actor admin key 1
lacp agg 1/2 actor admin key 1
lacp agg 2/2 actor admin key 1
! VLAN AGG:
! 802.1Q :
vlan 2 802.1q 1/1 "TAG PORT 1/1 VLAN 2"
vlan 100 802.1q 1/1 "TAG PORT 1/1 VLAN 100"
vlan 2 802.1q 1/3 "TAG PORT 1/3 VLAN 2"
vlan 100 802.1q 1/3 "TAG PORT 1/3 VLAN 100"
vlan 2 802.1q 1 "TAG AGGREGATE 1 VLAN 2"
