How to disable Trap Notify

Hy all,

we've got a running omnivista v4.2.2.

i got the Problem that i want to ignore a couple of traps.
but how to configure it ?
ive tried it within the Notificaions -> Trap config.....

but without any effort.

so if someone can give me a hint how to do this it will be great.

there are two ways:
You can set filters in the switches for all unwanted traps. Per default all traps are enabled. With the filter you can decide per snmp receiver (omnivista) which trap to disable.
Or you receives all the traps within omnivista and there you can create an "auto-acknowledge" off all unwanted traps. This feature is in trap-responder with action "acknowledge". You can create your own specific filters with a lot of possibilities.

With trap definition you can "only" change the severity of a trap: f.e. if you change from warning to normal the switch icon will not change the color to orange.

I'd build a trap responder that auto-acknowledges the traps that you're not interested in.
