Activities on OV 2500 4.2.2.R01

Hi All,
I need to do two activities on an OmniVista.
That's the first time I use it but I didn't find anything that could help me.
I need to:
- change date / time
- set allert email when there are warnings or superior events.
How to?

the time/date you have to configure at the console (ssh or vmware) - login as cliadmin. Better is to use the NTP server.
e-mail server in systemsettings (Administrator)
and in trap responder (notifications) you can create filters when a e-mail has to be sent....
use the online help.

Hi Silvio,

thank you for your help.
I found how to do what I needed except that I didnt find a way to set the NTP server.

There's an other thing, I'm backupping 27 omniswtiches but 9 of them arent completing the task.
The error is "access denied" with SSH2, but I am sure that credentials are ok, because I usually log into these switches with those informations.
There's something I have to check?
It's strange because only a few of them cant backup.

Check how the devices are discovered in Discovery --> Managed Devices. If they are with SSH, then check the switches with eror to allow SSH and change the SSH to telnet by editing the device configuration in Omnivista.

Do you also remember a way to change ntp server?
Didnt find commands to change it by ssh connection :/

the ntp server at the switches you can configure via cli-script. Here the commands for R6-Switches:

ntp server x.x.x.x
ntp server unsynchronized
ntp client enable

The ntp server at the server itself will be configured at the console of the server (login as cliadmin).
