SIP trunking

Post by jayakumar »

I have set up SIP trunking between Alcatel OXO R 7.1 and Mitel 3300. There are digital and analog extensions on OXO side and IP and analog extensions on Mitel side. I find that when we call from digital or analog extensions of Alcatel to analog extensions of Mitel, there is one way speech. i.e. Mitel side can hear Alcatel side but not the other way. Same is the case, if we call from analog extensions of Mitel to digital or analog extensions of Alcatel. There is no problem for bothway calls between digital extensions of Alcatel and IP extensions of Mitel. Can someone help?

sounds like an ip routing issue, seems to be that the Mitel GW does not know the way back.
Try to make a traceroute from the OXE subnet to the Mitel mediagateway IP address.
If the address is not known make a Wireshark capture and check the SDP send by Mitel.

Hi,

Thank you. How do we run the traceroute command from the OXO?

There is no such thing in OXO, what you can do is put a sniffer on the OXO WAN and capture the packets.
Ignorance is not the problem, the problem is the one who doesn't want to learn

Hi,

The problem is resolved. It was a coding issue.

Thanks
