oxo to 4400 voip problem

Post by wallacezammit » 12 Nov 2009 10:28

Hi,

I have a network of 4 oxo's and one 4400 pabx. The release of the 4400 is 4.2 with latest dyn. patch .ai. The oxo's were all rel 1.1 and voip between oxo's and 4400 was working fine. But lately we upgraded 2 of the oxo's to rel 6.1 and 7.1. Now on these pabx's voip calls to the 4400 are not working anymore. If the 4400 calls oxo rel6 or 7 it works fine but when oxo rel6 or 7 call 4400 the call is not established - the t3 trace gives 'invalid format numbering'. (the oxo rel1.1 still works fine in both ways with the 4400).

I also did a wireshark trace on the oxo to check what number it is sending out and it is sending out the number correctly.

I think that since the H323 voip of the oxo is of the latest and the 4400 is still rel 4.2, I think there is some info being sent by the oxo which the INTIP card of the 4400 is not recognizing.

I spoke with someone who had the same problem between an oxo rel 7 and a 4400 rel 5 and told me that they had to upgrade the binaries of the INTIP card from a latest 4400 release. This person is not OXE oriented and so couldn't help me much of what they did on the INTIP card.

Does anyone had this kind situation?

Thanks and Regards
Wallace

Hi..

Invalid numbering format is not related to the INTIP binay issue...may be it's something to do with numbering translator...can u show us the t3 trace when u call from R.7 and R.6 oxo...it should work..as per technical communication in the external call back translator did u add the B letter to remove...show the t3 trace..

cheers...

Try to send block numbering from OXO to 4400. There is a TC regarding H.323 connection between OXE and OXO. try to find it and read it.

Regards.

This is the t3 trace of a call from the oxo rel7 to 4400. I still have to check the translator to check about the B.
