Problem with setup

Hi Guys

I have a problem

i bought for myself 2 Alcatel Lucent 4850-24 with 4 sfp ports.

now i want to configure but i have no idea what the ip was.
and i dont have a official cabel for the console. (i have a USB to RJ-45).

how can i connect to the switch? i also have no client with db9.
if i connect the client with the usb port (COM4) in my case i just recive a black widow without a cursor or something else...

I really need help.

unsure whether the devices have a default ip, i doubt.

So you need to get the console working.
USB - console is fine, you need 9600/8/N/1 AND and Ethernetcable with the Alcatel adapter. (as Alcatel has a different Pin setting, than e.g. cisco)

You should be able to get that adapters from distribution or built it your self, the pin setting is afaik in the manual also there have been several posts here in the board (use the search function) how to build it for yourself.
