Impossibility to do ftp

Hello firneds, hope everybody is fine.

Got a situation with an OXE system (commom hardware) wich it is not possible to do ftp conections.

When doing ftp to the system got the error of bad (wrong) pasword.

I'm sure the password is correct since I can do telnet to system without any trouble.

I have tried ftp with mtcl, swinst, adfexc and root with no success.

I have tried from client network and also, direct conexion with a crossed cable (PC-OXE)

I have tried with two differents PCs using, filezilla, and ftp service of Windows. Also have Win XP, 7 and 10.

The client have 41 OXE systems, ftp to all other 40 systems work fine from clients network using the same laptops so it seems something have change in this particular system that do not allow ftp.


It is possible to verify if the ftp service have been disable on this system? if yes, How can I do that?

Any suggestion will be apreciated.

Have you tried from a windows command line? Did you see the prompt to enter the user and password?

You can verify ftp service doing

You will see some like

Yes I forgot to mention that I have tried with windows command line (executed as administrator) and also from another oxe system with no success tne ftp service did not allow me to conect.
I will tried to do the commam tha you mentioned.

Hey Alberto,
Seems that your ftp password file is corrupted.
Just copy one from a working OXE and replace it.

Hello CAV, hope you are fine.

I dont knoe how to do that, can you give me dime hints?

I think it may be what you say since this system almost everyday have a poder failure

Suspect you may have a failing hard disk, I would backup the database as a precaution and plan to replace the drive.

... or a partition on the harddisk is saturated...

try to do a ‚df -h‘ and ‚df -i‘...

also...

do yo have tried to login with telnet to the oxe and then a ‚ftp localhost‘?
