i have not not installed a cpu8 yet, but "installation type: rescue" seems not right. And you should see something in the serial terminal...

Nobody reads TCs.

Only PC Installer 5.2 can install new CPUs CS-3 & CPU8. This version is retro-compatible & can install
any previous OXE version.
Notice also that latest Windows versions are not compatible with PC Installer (like Windows 10)

It is inside the image of the OXE release.
Please read the technical documentation, as said, it is all in there...

Currently version 5.4 is the latest version.
See in patches too - not just in base version.
