4029 No number field to modify speed dial

Hi
The 4029 telephone doesn't allow me or my colleagues to edit the speed dial number as in the manual in 5.1.1.1.
After pressing PERSONAL PAGE: certain SELECTED KEYS: MODIFY. I get a "Key Programme" screen with "label : and feild I can edit with text..which I do but when pressing APPLY it says programming accepted but does allow me to change the number.
This is only the case for certain white speed keys and not others.
