Never given EVE-NG any time, but it might be due to CPU..
Not sure what you are running on, but I've read somewhere that it only supports Intel CPU.

add "+x2apic" with following sample.

-machine type=pc-1.0,accel=kvm -cpu qemu64,+x2apic -serial

I spent a lot of time on this recently and wrote up what I found. I am currently not using the vsr-i but I have SROS 20 working as a CPM/IOM distributed install on eve-ng. The details here here https://www.eve-ng.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=17900
Long story short, you'll need to adjust the QEMU options to get that error to go away (and will likely see different errors based on your hardware choices). SROS 20 seems to be particularly sensitive about its hardware. Reposting the details here for posterity. Bear in mind I have a fair bit of hardware to throw at this so you may want to try adjusting the CPU/RAM and see what you can get away with.

Distributed Model

CPM Hardware:

TimOS Line:
slot=A chassis=SR-12 card=cpm5

QEMU custom options
-machine type=pc,accel=kvm -serial mon:stdio -nographic -no-user-config -nodefaults -rtc base=utc

Other
CPU = 8
RAM - 10240
Ethernet = 6 (probably could be 2)

IOM Hardware

TimOS Line
slot=1 chassis=SR-12 card=iom3-xp-c mda/1=m10-1gb+1-10gb

QEMU custom options
-machine type=pc,accel=kvm -serial mon:stdio -nographic -no-user-config -nodefaults -rtc base=utc

Other
CPU = 8
RAM - 10240
Ethernet = 12
QEMU Version 4.1.0
QEMU arch = x86_64
QEMU NIC = e1000

I using the qemu option line as follows:

Code: Select all

-enable-kvm -serial mon:stdio -nographic -nodefconfig -nodefaults -rtc base=utc -no-shutdown -boot order=c -cpu host
