DECT-Tool

Post by felix-92 »

Hello,

I made a little tool that registers/deregisters handsets on OXE.

A lot of our customers are using dectinston via telnet, to register their handsets by themself.
Since the most endusers are not familiar with using a telnet-client, I made this tool to make it easier.

After the Installation you have to modify the following parameters in the config.ini file in the installation folder:
-user= mtcl
-password= mtcl-password
-host1= OXE role address
-host2= Twin role address / leave empty, only use in case of spatial redundancy
-customer= Info-text displayed in the tool, i.e. the customer name
-language= select language (en for English/de for German)
You can also create your own language file, check the readme.

Before the launch of the GUI, it checks in background, if the OXE is available and which one is active in case of spatial redundancy. This may take a few seconds.
Once the GUI is started, enter the directory number of the handset and click Register/Deregister.
The program establishes a telnet-connection in background and returns a success or error message.

You can download the installation file here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Jycc7J ... sp=sharing

I've also uploaded the code here:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

I hope it's useful for you too.
Please let me know, what you think about it :-)

Regards,
Felix

i think it would be a good way to give a solution to the customers administrator to register and unregister DECT mobiles without communicate the mtcl password directly to him.
... but unfortunately it only suports telnet
in my opinion this is no longer state of the art to install omnipcxOXE systems without ssh security.

so i am waiting if ther will be a versiona available with ssh support.
... but if this will be developed for this tool, i will use it.
