OXO SIP Register on OXE

Post by elkiwi »

Hi guys, i need some help here.

I'm trying to connect an OXO R7.1 to an OXE R8 using SIP. The idea is to register the OXO PBX in OXE for security reasons.

I can see that OXO is registered in OXE by "sipregister" command but i can't call extensions from OXO to OXE.

I've tried with xlite softphone and works fine, it register and can call to any extension on OXE.

I made traces using wireshark and i can see that when oxo sends an INVITE, OXE responds with a "Trying" message and inmediately OXE sends a "407 Proxy Athentication Required".

The difference between OXO and Xlite is that after that 407 message Xlite sends an ACK and another INVITE message with success. On the contrary after that 407 message, OXO sends an ACK and another rejected INVITE.

OXO IP: 192.168.92.246
OXE IP: 192.168.92.100
XLITE IP: 192.168.92.91

As you can see on traces above.

Post external gateway configuration in OXE and SIP config parameters in OXO + ARS configuration.

Looks to me as an authentication problem.

In OXE SIP Gateway try to disable authentication and try again.

With authentication disabled works fine, but with authentication enabled works fine with xlite.

I also did tests using the same user for Xlite and oxo with authentication. In the case of xlite works fine as in the trace, it register and authenticate, but in oxo gives me the message 407.

Therefore i think the problem is on OXO side and not OXE.

I'm uploading OXO SIP Config.

Are you sure that user name and password are the same (required) in OXO and external gateway in OXE?

Try without authentication towards OXO and authentication towards OXE. What is the result?

The OXO doesn't register even. OXE sends a "401 Unauthorized" message.

I think that something is missing in the OXO configuration but i can't figure out where.

Try to compare what XLite sends as username and what does OXO sends as username, there must be some mismatch.

The username is the same in both cases. But one difference that i saw is in Request-Line. Oxo sends "INVITE sip:2000@192.168.92.100; user=phone SIP/2.0" and Xlite sends "INVITE sip:2000@192.168.92.100 SIP/2.0". I don't know what's that 'user=phone' and if i can change or remove it.

Then in Proxy-Authorization the username, and the other parameters are the same, as you can see on traces.
